New Richard Osman Thursday Murder Club book announced

Richard Osman has published the fifth book in his best-selling series worldwide The Thursday Murder Club will be published in September 2025.

He's keeping quiet about the plot of the next part of the series, but there will be more shenanigans with the gang at Coopers Chase retirement village. It comes five years after the release of the first Thursday Murder Club Book that came in straight away The Sunday Times Book chart at number one.

Steven Spielberg's company Amblin Entertainment is currently adapting the first book into a film starring, among others, Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Sir Ben Kingsley, Celia Imrie and David Tennant.

In September, Osman published the first book in his new series: We solve murders and it was the fifth of his books to go straight to number one in all book charts.

Osman editor Harriet Bourton said: “Richard Osman has an inimitable talent for creating characters that immediately feel like friends and worlds you enjoy spending time in.
