ATLANTA – Powerball rises to $258 million after no one won the big prize in Saturday's Powerball drawing.

The winning numbers in the September 23rd Powerball drawing were 3, 11, 13, 24 and 39 with a red “Powerball” number of 22. The “Power Play” multiplier was 3x.

The chance of winning the Powerball jackpot is one in 292.2 million.

Huge lottery jackpots have become more common in recent years as lottery authorities have changed rules and ticket prices to increase top prizes.

The biggest change to Powerball came in 2021 when officials decided to add a Monday drawing to their weekly lineup of Wednesday and Saturday evening drawings. At the time of the announcement, Powerball said the addition of Monday drawings would result in “larger, faster-growing jackpots.”
