Party Land Seeks Super Bowl Work via Cameo Videos – Marketing Communications News

In an attempt to score work at the Super Bowl, Partyland is making a splash with a series of cameo videos, including cameo videos from Real Housewives of New York City star Sonya Morgan, musician Kenny G and even Santa Claus. The independent agency is offering “two free creative rounds with every big game briefing” to capture the attention of brands looking to bring something different, entertaining and humorous to Super Bowl LIX.

Looking for a quick and fun way to stand out from the crowd – and having had its eye on the custom, commissionable, fast-paced celebrity videos that Cameo offers for some time – Party Land took the opportunity to To give the platform its own pipeline.

Within just four days of coming up with the idea, they had three personalized videos of Sonya, Kenny and Santa in hand.

“When we decided to promote Party Land for the biggest comedy stage of the year, we knew we were already racing against time. That’s why we reached out to Cameo as we were confident we could take the idea from concept to market in less than a week.” said managing partner Andy Silva.

Aimed at CMOs, marketers and in-house creative teams who aren't under pressure to make an $8 million media buy pay off, Party Land promotes the offer with paid media on LinkedIn as well as additional PR and direct marketing efforts . The team hopes the surprise-and-delight factor will bring a fresh, surprising narrative to life within a tight deadline, similar to the work they do for clients.

“Spending $8 million on a Super Bowl commercial is the ultimate balancing act for a brand. It's exciting to know you're on the biggest stage in the world, but it's terrifying to realize that in 30 seconds you could either make history or be forgotten. With more than two-thirds of Super Bowl commercials based on comedy, this event is the perfect intersection of entertainment and advertising. Working with someone who truly understands how to create not just advertising but groundbreaking entertainment is critical to success.” Andy said.

Party Land's executive team has experience working on big-game spots, including the 2013 hit “El Plato Supreme” for Samsung Mobile starring Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd. Now the agency is setting its sights on advertising's biggest stage – and it's ready to prove it.

The offer of two free rounds of creative development is open until December 31st, giving brands plenty of time to take advantage of last-minute opportunities or remaining budget. All they need is a realistic Super Bowl briefing and a dedicated media buy.
