First details about Lords of the Fallen 2 via leaked document

According to a leaked document, Lords of the Fallen 2 will be available exclusively through the Epic Games Store for PC. CI Games and Hexworks claim Epic made a large investment to gain exclusivity. In addition, the game will once again use Unreal Engine 5.

The EGS exclusivity is no surprise. In June 2024, we learned that Epic Games would be the exclusive distributor for Lords of the Fallen 2 on PC. So it was clear that it would be exclusive to EGS.

According to the leaked document, Lords of the Fallen 2 will bring gameplay improvements. Additionally, there will be more game mode options. Therefore, it might appeal more to casual gamers. In addition to a central single-player campaign, there will also be a full co-op mode with shared progression.

CI Games plans to officially reveal LOTF2 in 2025. The game is also scheduled to be released in 2026.

As with all rumors and leaks, I recommend taking everything you read with a grain of salt.

Lords of the Fallen was an interesting reinterpretation of the first LOTF title. To be honest, though, I wasn't a big fan of Umbral. There were also a lot of cheap deathtraps in the game.

It will be interesting to see the new features of LOTF 2. We hope Hexworks takes a look at Lies of P. In my opinion, this is the best Souls clone ever made. The team can also learn a lot from Black Myth: Wukong. For example, the fact that you don't lose your souls after being killed is a huge quality of life improvement. At least in my opinion.

Stay tuned for more!
