At least two injured after TARC bus crash in Old Louisville

Authorities believe the bus struck a driver who may have been running a red light.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – At least two people were injured after a TARC bus collided with another vehicle in the Old Louisville neighborhood on Tuesday.

The Louisville Metro Police Department's Fourth Division responded to the accident at the intersection of 4th Street and Lee Street around 2:30 p.m

According to initial investigations, police believe that the driver of the car may have been driving through a red light when the bus crashed into the car.

The car was pushed into a nearby yard and both occupants suffered “minor injuries,” officials said.

Police said the TARC bus was carrying several passengers and only one person wanted to be checked by emergency services.

LMPD's Fourth Division is leading the investigation.
