The sheriff's office said it responded to County Road 72 in Cloudland Township after a 911 call came in around 2 a.m

The call reported a man vandalizing another man's truck and threatening to kill others.

The sheriff's office said officers attempted to make contact with the suspect when they arrived, but the suspect saw them on surveillance cameras and reportedly threatened to kill them.

According to Chief Deputy Josh Summerford, the county's Inter-County Emergency Response Team (ERT) responded after the suspect, who the sheriff's office said was armed, barricaded himself in his apartment.

The suspect eventually fled the apartment and was arrested in the woods.

The sheriff's office said he was armed with multiple firearms at the time of his arrest.

The incident lasted about 10 hours.
