More than 100 men and women plan to file new allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, attorney says

Sean “Diddy” Combs could soon face new allegations from more than 100 men and women who have received legal representation and plan to file civil lawsuits against the embattled media mogul in the coming weeks, according to Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee.

Buzbee said during a news conference Tuesday that his law firm, The Buzbee Law Firm, along with AVA Law Group, had been retained by at least 120 people to pursue “cases in civil court” against Combs and who contacted her after she “claimed had to have become victims”. “from” Combs and other natural or legal persons.

Some of the cases Buzbee said they plan to file will focus on allegations of violent sexual assault or rape, sexual abuse, promoting sex with controlled substances, false imprisonment, forced prostitution, sexual misconduct, distribution of video recordings and sexual abuse of minors.

The musician and businessman was indicted earlier this month on federal charges including sex trafficking. Combs has pleaded not guilty.

Buzbee said that of the 120 people who have retained his company, half of them are men and the other half are women, and that 25 of those people were at the time of the alleged incidents, which they said were in Los Angeles, New York and New York York, Miami were underage during parties and sometimes auditions related to the music industry.

“As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every unfounded allegation in what has become a ruthless media circus. However, Mr. Combs strongly and categorically denies as false and defamatory any allegation that he sexually abused anyone, including minors,” Erica Wolff, an attorney for Combs, said in a statement to CNN on Tuesday.

Wolff added that Combs “looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court as lawsuits are filed and served, with the truth determined based on evidence rather than speculation.”

The company said it plans to begin filing these cases within the next 30 days as the review and evidence collection process continues.

More than 55% of victims “reported this behavior either to the authorities, meaning the police, or to the hospitals,” said Buzbee, whose firm is actively working to collect records of reports made to authorities.

Buzbee also clarified that his firm is not filing a class action lawsuit, but rather each case is being filed individually in different states. Combs, he said, in some cases will not be the only defendant cited in the civil lawsuits, as Buzbee says other people and entities could also be named based on the claims and evidence they have collected.

Since last November, Combs has faced 12 civil lawsuits, 11 of which directly accused him of sexual assault. Combs has denied many of the allegations against him and settled a lawsuit, but has not yet responded to all of the ongoing lawsuits.

He is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he is awaiting trial on three sex trafficking and racketeering charges after being indicted by a grand jury. Combs' attorneys are appealing his detention and asking for his release from prison while he awaits trial.

A source previously told CNN that the majority of prosecutors who filed civil suits met with federal investigators during their months-long investigation. In March, Combs' residences in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations.

After Combs' arrest, authorities said the investigation remained active and ongoing.
