Two drivers are injured in a rollover accident in Ottawa County

OTTAWA COUNTY, MI – Two drivers were injured in a rollover crash in Ottawa County Tuesday evening.

According to a news release from the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a two-car rollover accident at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1, at the intersection of 120th Avenue and Polk Street in Olive Township.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 62-year-old woman from Zeeland was driving west on Polk Street when she failed to yield at the intersection of 120th Avenue, the release said. According to the sheriff's office, she was struck by a 33-year-old woman from Grand Haven who was driving north on 120th Avenue.

Both drivers suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, the sheriff's office said. The Zeeland woman was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment and the Grand Haven woman was transported privately.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Olive Township Fire/Rescue and AMR.
