Former Bronco Von Miller receives a four-game suspension

Von Miller faces a league ban for the second time in his career.

The Super Bowl 50 MVP was suspended four games by the NFL on Tuesday for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

According to ESPN.com, this suspension appears to be related to an alleged domestic violence incident. Last November, Miller was arrested after allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend.

Von Miller denied the allegations and no charges were filed. However, the NFL retains the ability to suspend players even without a conviction, under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between the league and the NFL Players Association.

While with the Denver Broncos, Miller was investigated for an alleged incident at his then-home in Parker, Colorado, but no charges were filed in that regard either.

Miller served a six-game suspension in 2013 – his third year in the league – for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

On the field, Von Miller got off to a blistering start, recording sacks in each of the Bills' first three games. That performance followed a sackless campaign in 2023 in which he struggled with the aftereffects of a torn ACL that ended his 2022 campaign — his first with Buffalo — on Thanksgiving Day of that year.

But now this campaign has taken a detour and Miller will sit out the month of October.
