Plymouth man almost twice the legal limit arrested by city police


A Plymouth man was arrested on September 29thTh after Corporal Schieber of the Plymouth Police Department suspected he had been operating while intoxicated.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning, the Plymouth officer stopped a vehicle on Michigan Street near Klinger Street for multiple traffic violations.

During the traffic stop, the driver was identified as 25-year-old Maximiliano Perez-Barrios of West Washington Street in Plymouth. As a result of the officer's investigation, a search warrant had to be obtained, and upon execution, it was discovered that Perez-Barrios' blood alcohol level was nearly twice the legal limit.

Maximiliano Perez-Barrios was taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, thereby endangering, driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of over 0.08 and the operator never obtained a license.
