Samsung may announce the Galaxy S26

Something big may happen in the flagship Galaxy S series, but not next year. The Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra will all appear in January as usual. But in 2026, the Korean company could fundamentally change its product range and abandon the Galaxy S26.

Samsung has already done something similar with its flagship tablet range. This year only the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra were launched, the “vanilla” model is missing. And now a new rumor suggests that the same thing could happen with the Galaxy S26 series in 2026.

So only the Galaxy S26+ and the Galaxy S26 Ultra will arrive (expected in January 2026). The move is said to be happening because the base model will no longer be competitive in the market.

Chinese brands are preparing an onslaught of smaller devices with top specs in the next few months, and the Galaxy S25 may barely survive that, but it could be game over for the S26. Of course, this only applies if it works. The source of this rumor, Ice Universe, has a good track record but is known to exaggerate at times, and this could very well be one of those cases, so keep that in mind.
