Biggest drug raid ever: Delhi Police seize cocaine worth Rs 2,000 crore | Delhi News

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police's special cell has seized a staggering 500 kg cocaine worth over Rs 2,000 crore in one of the biggest drug raids in recent history.
According to police, the shipment was intercepted by a suspected drug cartel in the capital. The cocaine procured from abroad was intended for distribution in Delhi and other parts of the country.

“This massive seizure is a major blow to the drug trade and is a testament to our relentless efforts to curb drug trafficking,” Additional Commissioner Pramod Singh Kushwaha said.

The special cell tasked with fighting organized crime carried out a meticulous operation, tracking the cartel's movements and gathering information before making the arrest.

The seized cocaine was packed in large bags and hidden in a truck that was traveling from a neighboring state. Police have arrested several people, including the alleged boss, and are investigating their connections to international drug syndicates.
“This shipment is equivalent to approximately 5 million doses, potentially saving countless lives from drug addiction,” the additional commissioner added.
