Suspect arrested after police chase a stolen vehicle

ROCHESTER, NY – Rochester police arrested a 30-year-old man at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday morning after a police chase with a stolen vehicle

Officers noticed a vehicle on the city's east side that matched the description of a vehicle used in a robbery in the 1300 block of Culver Road.

They attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the vehicle sped away, leading to a chase that took them from the east side of the city to North Park Drive in the Town of Irondequoit. The suspect car crashed into a parked car but caused little damage.

The driver was taken into custody by police after a short chase.

RPD confirms the vehicle was not the one used in the robbery on Culver Road, but rather a stolen vehicle from a burglary that occurred a few nights ago.

The victim of the Culver Road robbery was uncooperative in this pursuit, refusing to provide further information and walking away from police.
