Attendees can expect a night of magic, laughter and mystery when “Salem’s Plot: A Musical Hocus Pocus Crime Parody” takes center stage on October 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Basil 1791 in downtown Hamilton.

This interactive event invites audiences to enter a world where musical theater meets crime thriller. But the magic doesn't stop there. “Salem's Plot” offers more than a meal and a show. Guests can also assess their “Hocus Pocus” knowledge with themed quizzes and compete for prizes in a costume contest.

“I love this show because I get to be a part of it,” Rampa said. “I'm usually the host, but this time I'm playing Winnifred, so I love being able to act, sing and dance. It is a great pleasure to return to my musical theater roots.”

Just in time for the Halloween season, guests can sing along with the Sanderson sisters all evening long. Whether you're a die-hard fan of the films “Hocus Pocus” and “Hocus Pocus 2” or are simply looking for a fun, captivating evening, “Salem's Plot” promises a captivating experience for all.

“As soon as October comes, I like to watch 'Hocus Pocus.' In 2022 there was the sequel “Hocus Pocus 2”, and that was a lot of fun. It's a great tradition for Halloween. “It doesn't really feel like Halloween until you see 'Hocus Pocus,'” Rampa said.

In addition to Rampa, the series stars Amanda Monyhan (as Sarah) and Cat Ward (as Mary).

Audiences will take a look at the crime scene, examine various clues, and try to figure out who killed the mayor. The detective who solves the mystery also receives a prize.

The show was sold out last year.
