Calling as a cyclist fighting for his life after a two-car crash in south Essex

Police have appealed for information and footage after a cyclist was left fighting for his life following a two-car crash in south Essex.

Officers were called by paramedics at around 8.10am yesterday with reports of the serious accident in Brock Hill, Runwell.

According to their own statements, the police found a cyclist at the scene of the accident, where two vehicles collided and the cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries.

He was flown to the hospital.

The road reopened almost six hours later at around 1.35pm and Essex Police's investigation into the accident continues.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “We are now appealing to anyone who was traveling in the area at the time to provide us with any dashcam footage or information relating to this collision that may assist our investigation.”
