Two women were arrested for drug possession and resisting charges in Collier County

Collier County officers arrested two women after they said they found fentanyl in their car during a traffic stop. Nora Colleen Weissenborn, 44, and Mary Francis Marks, 44, face drug charges after they were arrested Tuesday night. Around 8 p.m., officers say they pulled over the driver after she failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Bayshore Drive and Holly Avenue and continued to drive erratically on Bayshore. Dr. Weissenborn was identified as the driver and Marks was the passenger in the car, according to reports. Deputies say both women are convicted felons from Naples and they became confrontational with deputies while ignoring their commands. CCSO says Marks got out of the car after officers told her to stay inside and she reached under the car. Officers searched the car and reportedly found a crack pipe. While searching the car, officers said they found a baggie of fentanyl on the driver's side floorboard. The two women were arrested. Weissenborn is charged with possession of fentanyl and resisting arrest. Marks is charged with obstruction and possession of drug equipment. “Thanks to outstanding proactive patrols, our deputies prevented the deadly opioid fentanyl from entering Collier County,” said Sheriff Kevin Rambosk.
