La Crosse County man faces drug charges after traffic stop

LA CROSSE COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – An Onalaska, Wisconsin man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop in La Crosse County.

According to Holmen Police, after months of investigation, authorities conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at approximately 1:30 a.m. on September 26, 2024.

Officers searched the vehicle and found what is believed to be two pounds of packaged methamphetamine.

The driver, identified as 44-year-old Christopher Martinez, was taken into custody.

Martinez was taken to the La Crosse County Jail.

Court records indicate that Martinez is charged with possession of amphetamine/methamphetamine, etc. (>50 grams) with intent to distribute, maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records also show a $20,000 signature bond was signed for Martinez.

The next court date is scheduled for October 11, 2024.
