Silent Hill 2 PS5 remake gets first review as game leaks

Silent Hill 2 PS5 Remake received its first professional review just as copies of the game started appearing in the wild. Unknown retailers appear to have broken the on-sale date, causing spoilers to surface online. Some people are already good at the game, one of them can already boast a 39% completion.

The first review of the PS5 remake of Silent Hill 2 is good news

On the bright side, Bloober Team's version of Silent Hill 2 looks to be a hit judging by the previews and Famitsu's full review. After most outlets that previewed the game left positive impressions, Japanese company Famitsu gave it a 35/40 rating in its latest issue, according to Gematsu.

Famitsu's score is slightly better than what the original PS2 game received in 2001. The outlet gave the PS2 version 34/40 and the Xbox version 32/40. While reviews are subjective and games are rated by different people, it can be concluded that players might well like the Silent Hill 2 remake.

Famitsu also revealed that the remake will take around 16 to 18 hours to complete, which is somewhat surprising since the original takes around 8 hours.

The review embargo on online releases of the Silent Hill 2 remake will be lifted on Friday, October 4th.
