Man accused of opening fire at Myrtle Beach grocery store identified

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Documents obtained by WMBF News have identified the man suspected of opening fire at a Myrtle Beach grocery store.

Myrtle Beach police charged Terbias Goff last week with attempted murder and weapons possession.

The charges stem from a shooting at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on South Kings Highway on Sept. 26.

After an argument, Goff allegedly fired a shot at the victim, but it missed. Police reportedly found a shell casing and an unspent cartridge in the area in front of the store.

After the shooting, Goff got into a white SUV, reportedly driven by 44-year-old Terry Heard, and drove north on Kings Highway, according to police. Police also said Heard was there during the shooting.

Officers later tracked the vehicle to the Bermuda Sands Hotel at 104 North Ocean Boulevard. Goff and Heard were later arrested after a search warrant was executed on their room.

Police also charged Heard with attempted murder in connection with the shooting. He is also charged in a separate armed robbery case.
