Walker Hayes' wife reacts to his spicy video about her

Walker Hayes' wife Laney sets the record straight after the, um, somewhat risqué song teaser video he posted earlier this week.

Hayes shared a snippet of a new song called “5 to 9,” a response to Dolly Parton's “9 to 5,” which is about having fun after work with your spouse.

The image he chose to announce the song was also a bit juicy: Hayes is in the middle of training when he gets a text from Laney asking if he wants a shower, and he drops everything to rush to her. ends with a scene of the family's tour bus rocking.

In the comments section, fans wondered if Laney – who is usually a pretty fit figure – gave the video treatment the green light.

“The fact that I can't imagine Laney being naughty,” one person wrote on Instagram.

“Does Laney know you posted that?” another wonder.

Not only did Laney know about the video, but she also helped pull off the bus rock stunt herself – and not in the way some fans might imagine. Hayes shared a second video in which Laney explained her thoughts on the video and provided some behind-the-scenes insight into how it all went down.

“I feel like a lot of people in the video we posted the other day said, 'I can't imagine Laney being okay with that post,'” Hayes says, as his wife laughs in response.

“Oh, we were all making that video. “It was a lot of fun,” she replies.

“I think it's a positive message. I mean, we're married,” she continues, also giving her glowing review of Hayes' new song. “I think the song is a hit. Bigger than 'Fancy Like', a direct hit.”

Although the finished product maybe see Laney is a little suggestive, but says the filming was good old family fun.

“What you didn’t see was the whole family, us and the children, standing in front of the bus,” she says. “[Son] The band brings us into the rhythm and tries to be appropriate…”

“Shake the bus,” Hayes adds.

Hayes will release “5 to 9” on October 11th.
