Motorcyclist dead after crash in North Austin, driver arrested for drunk driving

A motorcyclist has died after a multi-vehicle crash in North Austin Sunday night, and police said one of the other drivers was arrested for drunken driving.

The collision occurred in the 7500 block of Burnet Road around 9:11 p.m. and involved an SUV, a motorcycle and a pickup truck. The motorcyclist, identified as Brayan Cuellar, 21, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Investigators determined the initial collision occurred between the SUV and the motorcycle. The truck, driven by 37-year-old Andrew Lycan, then collided with the motorcycle.

Lycan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the APD's Vehicular Homicide Unit at 512-974-8111 or submit tips anonymously through Capital Area Crime Stoppers.

The investigation is ongoing.
