Warrensburg woman injured, Chillicothe driver uninjured in Jackson County crash

A Warrensburg woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway F north of E Zumwalt Road in Jackson County on October 1, 2024. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident occurred around 2:10 p.m

According to the report, a 2016 Hyundai Sonata driven by 56-year-old Anita D. Church of Warrensburg, Missouri, was traveling southbound when it failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the middle of the road and collided with a northbound 2022 Kenworth T880. The driver of the Kenworth, 57-year-old Gene D. Hibner of Chillicothe, Missouri, was not injured. Both drivers were reportedly wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Church suffered injuries in the crash and was transported by LifeFlight Air Ambulance to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Due to the extent of the damage, both vehicles were towed from the scene by Caster's Tow.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Trooper DT Craig.
