The center also honors the memory of Al Parinello, who volunteered in the school's music department and in the marching band. He taught Bon Jovi and Sabo how to play guitar. Bon Jovi honored him with a touching speech at the induction of the band Bon Jovi into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Bon Jovi carved the initials “AP95” on his Takamini acoustic guitar.

Bon Jovi will be spending a lot of time in New Jersey this month. He will join Stephen Colbert in conversation at the Montclair Film Festival on Saturday, October 26th. Also: The annual JBJ Soul Kitchen Chili Cook-Off is scheduled for October 12th.
