Shreveport police arrest man for road rage

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Shreveport police have arrested a man they say was involved in a road rage incident.

On September 29, the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) initiated an investigation into a traffic incident involving 21-year-old Jaylon Blake.

After an investigation, VCAT members identified Blake as a suspect and obtained a search warrant for his home in the 400 block of Coventry Place. Blake was found in the house. Drugs and a gun were also reportedly found.

SPD arrested Blake and charged him with alleged possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, possession of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance and aggravated assault with a firearm.

“The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to combating violent crime and keeping our community safe,” SPD said in a news release.
