Gas leak on South Raddant Road leads to road closures in Batavia

BATAVIA, IL – A portion of South Raddant Road is closed Wednesday afternoon due to a gas leak, Batavia officials said in an alert at 12:37 p.m

The road is closed from Norcross Drive south to Mark Twain Trail. The intersection of South Raddant Road and Edwards Drive is also closed.

The closures would impact traffic at Rotolo Middle School, officials said, advising parents to pick up students heading west from Papermill Hill Drive into the parking lot.

Locals who need to leave the area should use the intersection of South Raddant Road and Mark Twain Trail.
