Uptown Seattle man arrested on human trafficking charges found with missing minor

A Seattle, Washington, man wanted on multiple human trafficking charges was arrested in the northern state this week after a traffic stop turned up warrants and a missing minor.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Northern Division, on Tuesday, October 1, at 10:09 a.m., K9 Officer Jeff Kuwahara and his canine partner Riva stopped a silver 2023 Chevrolet Malibu traveling on Interstate 5 north of Old southbound on Oregon Trail for speeding. Upon contacting the driver and his two female passengers, the officer reportedly observed several signs of human trafficking.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Vincent Bailey, 24, of Seattle, Washington. The CHP concluded that Bailey had an active federal warrant for sex trafficking of minors, attempted coercion and enticement of minors, and transportation of minors.

One of the passengers was identified as a minor and an unreported missing person from Spokane, Washington.

CHP said the investigation is ongoing, but Bailey was arrested and Department of Homeland Security agents responded and took Bailey into custody.
