Dorchester man arrested and charged with indecent exposure

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – A man was arrested after exposing himself in public, according to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office.

Jacob Tyler Brooks, 25, was arrested Wednesday and charged with indecent exposure and harmful conduct toward a minor.

Officers responded to the incident in Summerville on September 27 when the victim was hosting a gathering at her home when she received a notification from the Ring doorbell camera on her phone.

She stated that when she looked at the notification, she saw Brooks exposing his genitals and masturbating with his pants down, Lt. Rick Carson.

The victim pointed out her husband trying to track down the suspect but couldn't find him

The suspect was wearing a blue shirt, basketball shorts and Crocs.

Lt. Rick Carson said they received several calls and reports from people describing the suspect doing something similar.

Brooks had a bond hearing this afternoon where bail was set at $300,000.

Deputies are asking citizens to contact police if they have any further information about these incidents.
