Detroit Tigers MLB playoff schedule bracket: date, time, TV channel

The Detroit Tigers are returning to the MLB playoffs for the first time since 2013.

The Tigers advanced to the American League Division Series after defeating the Astros 5-2 in Game 2 of the AL Wild Card Series on Wednesday. The Tigers will face the AL Central champion Cleveland Guardians in a best-of-five series in the ALDS. The series begins with two games in Cleveland on Saturday and Monday, followed by a Game 3 next Wednesday in Detroit, a Game 4 (if necessary) in Detroit on Thursday, October 10, and a Game 5 (if necessary) on Saturday. October 12th in Cleveland.

The Tigers will host a home playoff game (and possibly two) at Comerica Park for the first time in a decade. Cleveland, as one of the AL's top two division winners, had a week off and would host three of five games. On the other side of the bracket, the New York Yankees will host the winner of the Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles in the other AL wild card series.
