Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg are “laughed at” for renewing their wedding vows every year, but this allows the couple to “reboot” their marriage.

During an interview with Fox News Digital, McCarthy, a judge on FOX's “The Masked Singer,” said her husband was the one who brought this special tradition into their marriage.

“The first year I decided to do it as a surprise and I thought it would be fun and good and something she wouldn't expect,” Wahlberg said. “When we did it, it was so powerful and so emotional for us that I decided we should do it every year. The thing was, I didn’t always let her know, so I spent nine years trying to surprise her.”

But both were there for the couple's 10th wedding anniversary in August.

“We did it at the place where we got married. We renewed our vows with our priest,” McCarthy said.

“In the same room, same place,” Wahlberg chimed in.

“It’s really like a fresh start. Like we turn off our phone to restart it. We update our phone. For me, our extensions feel like an upgrade every time.”

“I think it's so important now that we've done it because people like to make fun of us for it,” McCarthy said. “Because how often after a long marriage do you actually stop and stare into each other’s eyes, listen to the promise and say the words again.”

“It’s really like a fresh start. Like we turn off our phone to restart it. We update our phone. For me, our extensions feel like an upgrade every time,” she continued.

“It's really a profound task to do it again with what we have now and 10 years of experience and just being in that space of honesty and vulnerability with each other,” Wahlberg noted. “It's funny. Yes, everyone has different opinions about vow renewal. I would say for us it's a magical thing and it was wonderful to do it. If it's not for everyone, it's not for everyone, but I would do it.” I recommend everyone to try it.

Even though the Wahlbergs only celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in August, the happy couple recently faced divorce rumors.

During the joint interview with Fox News Digital, McCarthy explained that close friends and family alerted her to the divorce rumors.

“Not long ago there was a rumor going around that we were getting a divorce, and relatives and good friends were texting me saying, 'Tell me that's not true.' And I'm like, 'What?'” McCarthy began. “Then things got really bad, my God. I said, 'Donnie, should we take care of this?' And he says, 'No, we're so strong and we're so in love and rumors are rumors.'

“People just have to look at us and know that this will never happen. It's like this marriage will separate us no matter what, until death separates us. “I always tell him, 'I'm going to force you to sign a contract for a billion years because I love you so much, you'll catch me a billion more times after this lifetime, buddy,'” she continued.

Last week, McCarthy revealed to People that her wedding dress was ruined on her wedding day because she and Wahlberg were “busy” in the garden after exchanging their vows.

Her dress was stained with grass before the couple celebrated their reception.

“There was no rescue,” McCarthy told the outlet. “And I know that was TMI, but you know what? I don't care. It was romantic and wonderful and at least I didn’t have to do it at the end of the night when I was tired.”

Ten years later, McCarthy accepts that she couldn't wear her wedding dress during her vow renewal ceremony because of “the history behind it.”

“So many married couples get too tired of consummating the marriage afterward, but we did it during the wedding,” McCarthy told Fox News Digital.

“I'm a very competitive person, and I'm so competitive that the judges actually say, 'This isn't necessarily that serious.' I say, 'Listen, you idiots, you're really going to win.' Awards and you have real ones Won awards. This is my chance to win something,” she said.

The celebrity who shocked her the most on The Masked Singer was her husband.

“The one celebrity reveal that surprised me the most was Donnie Wahlberg. To this day I can't believe I didn't guess my husband, and a lot of people come up to us and say, 'Did you really know?' wasn't he?' I really didn’t know it was him,” McCarthy told Fox News Digital.

“Because first of all, we are very honest with each other. We never lie. So when he said he was on the set of 'Blue Bloods' in New York, he was on the set when I FaceTimed him, but on the set next door,” she continued.

“With my tie and suit from 'Blue Bloods,'” Wahlberg added.

“So he really tricked me. I like watching this reveal because my face looks like, 'Oh, who is that?' to complete shock,” she said. “Like my mouth was hanging open and then I literally fell back to the floor because I was like, 'I'm never going to live this down,' because all of his fans the moment he started singing, they all knew that was.” him…except his wife.

Wahlberg appeared on the FOX show dressed as a rooster and starred in season five's “Return of the Mack.”

“The Masked Singer” has proven to be a family affair for McCarthy. Her son Evan Asher handles audience check-ins and warm-ups on the show. Evan, 22, whom she shares with ex Josh Asher, also has a YouTube channel called @Gaming_USA.
