The cast of Chicago Fire adds KaDee Strickland as Monica Pascal

Much of the episode focused on the new boss of Firehouse 51 and his different leadership style.

Actor Dermot Mulroney plays Chief Dom Pascal, a mysterious new character in the One Chicago universe.

Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) left in last season's finale, but the character still lives in Chicago. It's possible he'll appear every now and then, similar to how Jesse Spencer appears and disappears as Matthew Casey.

Chief Pascal initiated many changes at Firehouse 51 in this first episode, including post-call conversations with his lieutenants.

As the season premiere came to an end, Chief Pascal was shown arriving home after an extended shift. He found that the locks had been changed.

A window to the house opened, revealing the person we later learned was Monica Pascal, his estranged wife.
