Wife of missing Utah National Guardsman arrested; faces possible murder charges for her husband's murder

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah, October 2, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) – The wife of Matthew Johnson, 51, who was reported missing from his workplace in the Utah National Guard on September 23, has been arrested for his suspected murder.

Jennifer Gledhill, 41, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail system on Wednesday, October 2nd. She is being investigated for murder, a first-degree felony, her booking information states.

Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill released a statement Wednesday evening acknowledging developments in the case.

“The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office is aware that Jennifer Gledhill was arrested by Cottonwood Heights Police on suspicion of the alleged murder of her husband, Matthew Johnson,” Gill's statement said.

“The matter will be reviewed for possible charges as required by our protocol.”
