EBRSO deputy arrested for sexual abuse of minor | Crime/Police

A former East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office deputy was arrested and charged with sexual abuse of a minor, authorities said Wednesday evening.

Nicholas LoCicero, 38, of Denham Springs, was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on two counts of first-degree rape and one count of sexual assault.

According to Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard, teenage victims came forward with information about LoCicero that led to his arrest.

LoCicero began working with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office in June 2022 and spent the majority of his employment with the uniform patrol, an EBRSO spokesman said in a news release.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office initially placed LoCicero on administrative leave when they were informed of the allegations on Wednesday. LoCicero was released Wednesday evening before his arrest, the spokesman said.

Further information was not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
