Did Rockstar Games accidentally confirm the GTA 6 teaser after an online leak? Fans are speculating about the reveal

Rockstar Games has kept fans buzzing about the details of the highly anticipated GTA 6. However, this mystery suffered a setback when a gameplay teaser appeared online, leading to an unintentional confirmation from Rockstar themselves. This incident sparked excitement and speculation among fans, who now believe that certain leaks could be real.

Copyright takedown fuels speculation

On September 13th, the X-Account GTA 6 Countdown published a list of the latest rumors surrounding the game. One post included a screenshot that was quickly removed by the copyright holder. The removal fueled speculation that the rumors may be well-founded. But that wasn't the only signal that pointed to authenticity. GTA 6 Countdown said it received a Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) notice from Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company. These legal actions have led many to believe that something in the shared teaser reveals too much about the game.

Fan reactions to ongoing leaks

The flood of teasers and leaks has made it difficult to determine which part of the gameplay drew Take-Two's ire. Although the details are still unclear, the frequency of these incidents is beginning to test fans' patience. One user expressed disappointment at the game's alleged length, saying that a shorter story would be disappointing compared to Rockstar's previous title Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). Others expressed similar views, comparing RDR2's long plot to reading a novel.

Meanwhile, there is an ongoing debate about whether Rockstar Games' concerns centered on an image included in the post or other content. The original poster claimed that the DMCA notice referred to a different screenshot and not an artificial intelligence-generated image, which had been removed.
