It seems that some of Europe's biggest and best teams are circling in the hope of signing the brilliant Jonathan David from Lilles.

The striker scored again on Wednesday night, scoring the penalty against Real Madrid, ending their 36-game unbeaten streak.

It was just another example of the cool head he possesses in the biggest moments of the game, which, according to Football Insider, has attracted the likes of Newcastle, Italian giants Juventus and both Milan teams.

The outlet also notes that Arsenal and Aston Villa are also interested in the 24-year-old – and for good reason.

Transfermarkt points to his sensational record of 164 goal and assist contributions in his 278 career games.

The player's market value is 50 million euros, but more importantly, his contract with the French team expires at the end of the current season.

That means he can talk to interested parties from January and come on a free transfer next summer.

This is clearly an obvious attraction for clubs, especially considering his age and potential future prospects.

He is already one of the best shooters in Europe, but supposedly there are still three to four years to go before the supposed peak years in which a footballer gives his best.

The first interesting question will be whether David will sign a new contract with his current club and, if not, what his reasons are for leaving.

Does he just want to move to the club that offers him the most lucrative contract, or is he looking for the place where he is most likely to win trophies and improve his standing among his peers?

If he maintains his good form in front of goal over the next month or two, he could have a choice of clubs should he decide to leave Ligue Un.
