Albuquerque man arrested for human smuggling in El Paso

An Albuquerque man was taken into custody Wednesday for alleged human smuggling. The incident occurred on Transmountain Road where the vehicle attempted to elude law enforcement. According to DPS, the driver struck a vehicle intersection barrier where the vehicle came to a stop. The driver was identified as 23-year-old Ever Marquez-Diaz. He was arrested for people smuggling. Seven migrants were arrested and handed over to the border police.
