Albuquerque man arrested for human smuggling in El Paso

An Albuquerque man was taken into custody Wednesday for alleged human smuggling. Stay informed: The latest headlines from KOAT Action 7 NewsThe Texas Highway Patrol and the Department of Public Safety responded to a human smuggling incident in El Paso. The incident occurred on Transmountain Road where the vehicle attempted to elude law enforcement. According to DPS, the driver struck a vehicle intersection barrier where the vehicle came to a stop. The driver was identified as 23-year-old Ever Marquez-Diaz. He was arrested for people smuggling. Seven migrants were arrested and handed over to the border police.
