Is blonde the unofficial trend of the year? Jennie, Angelina Jolie and Kim Kardashian's blonde moments prove it

This year's Paris Fashion Week was as significant as ever as the worlds of luxury and showbiz seamlessly collided in a celebration of haute couture. Jennie, an in-house ambassador for Chanel, was of course the star of her presence in the City of Love as the luxury fashion house with crème-de-la-crème status opened its show and returned to the Grand Palais after four long years. Jennie appeared in a cool-toned knit ensemble, styled with a classic statement pearl necklace. However, the look itself took a backseat to her straight, now bright blonde locks! But Jennie isn't the only one who has raised the possibility that blondes might actually have more fun. Here are some of the biggest celebrity names who went blonde with panache this year.

Kim Kardashian

Everything Kim K does always raises the stakes. At this year's Met Gala, she debuted her up-do, angelic blonde hair with dark roots. Kim's natural hair color is dark brown for comparison.

However, at the beginning of March of this year, she not only cut back significantly, but also took on the life of a bombastic blonde. If you're as intrigued as we are, here's a quick recap of their limited series The perfect couplewon't hurt if the actor's character, Greer Garrison, sports a blonde, permed bob.

She left everyone's jaw on the floor with this move when she appeared at the premiere of ” Slave game in London.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner was self-admittedly “blonde” when she posted a carousel of photos flaunting fluffy, flaxen hair.

She continued with this look in her next appearances, with the blonde bob making quite an impression at the L'Oreal Walk Your Worth show that kicked off Paris Fashion Week a few days ago.

Rihanna

When it comes to experimenting with style, Rihanna is always down. She debuted her blonde era in London earlier this year, showcasing an entirely new styling repertoire. However, a change could be on the horizon in the coming weeks before the end of 2024. The reason? In an interview with Allure magazine, she admitted that she was already bored. “I get bored and I need to do something or I’ll lose my body,” she said.

Camila Cabello

Camila Cabello had a whirlwind romance with her blonde in February 2024. Maybe it was the connection to Sabrina Carpenter, maybe it was something else. Zoey German

It may be for a movie, but drastic hair makeovers demand recognition. In March of this year, Zoey Deutch debuted a platinum blonde pixie cut. The look is intended for her role as Jean Seberg in Richard Linklater's film New Vague. It looks good!

Joey King

Everyone thought Joey King had gone short and blonde when she put her hair up in the middle of the Cannes Film Festival. Although that was a false alarm, later in the year the actor actually cut his hair shorter and bleached it blonde, with the dark undertones adding a grunge touch. Since then, however, Joey has gradually transitioned to the brunette life.
