Woman arrested after cyclist crashed Mercedes SLK

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a bicycle accident in Bournemouth.

Dorset Police have been alerted to an incident involving a collision between a red Mercedes SLK and a bicycle on Surrey Road.

The cyclist, a man aged around 20, suffered injuries that are not described as serious.

A 43-year-old woman from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of a traffic offence.

She was released on police bail while investigations continue.

The incident occurred on September 30 at around 4:44 p.m.

Constable Lauren Hobkirk, of Bournemouth Police, said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it to contact me.”

“I’m also keen to hear from any motorists who were traveling in the area and may have caught relevant items on dashcam footage.”
