Two students posted a related video on social media: Mayfield Police Blotter

MAYFIELD, Ohio

Suspicious Activity: Wilson Mills Road

A high school principal reported on Sept. 25 that he became aware of a video on social media in which a student made several unsavory comments and expressed a wish for all bullies to be dead.

During the investigation it turned out that the video of the student was filmed by a 16-year-old girl.

The officers were on site and spoke to the father of the 16-year-old student who can be seen in the video.

It was determined that there was no specific threat, but both students will face criminal charges in juvenile court.

Cleveland police reported on Sept. 24 that they had two juveniles in custody following a pursuit of a possible stolen vehicle.

They stated that the vehicle was registered to a Mayfield resident and wanted to know if it had been stolen or was not yet registered as a stolen vehicle.

The officers went to the registered owner's house and spoke to her daughter. She contacted her mother, who confirmed that the vehicle had recently been stolen from her workplace.

Officers advised the woman to contact Cleveland police.

Suspect: Wilson Mills Road

Officers responded to True North Shell at 6:44 a.m. Sept. 27 for a report of a man running into traffic and swinging his fists at vehicles.

They located the 36-year-old Pennsylvania man walking near Pizzazz Pizzeria and arrested him.

It turned out to be a misunderstanding. The man was given a free ride to a bus stop in South Euclid.

Incident: Interstate 271

A motorist reported on September 28 that a man and a woman were arguing in front of a vehicle on the side of the local roadway.

Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or the people involved.

Missing Person: North Commons Boulevard

An 83-year-old woman walked out of an assisted living facility on September 29th.

Officers located her in a parking lot at the nearby Progressive Insurance campus and took her back to the facility.

Staff said the woman will soon be moved to a dementia unit and will be constantly monitored.
