Man arrested after September shooting

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WOLO)– A 22-year-old man was arrested following a shooting in September, the Richland County Sheriff's Department said.

According to RCSD, on Wednesday, September 25, officers were called to residences at 508 Longtown Road where they found two men lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.

According to RCSD, officers determined the two individuals were acquaintances who were involved in an altercation with each other that ended physically.

Kenyon Peters was arrested without incident on Oct. 3 by the Richland County Fugitive Task Force in Elgin in connection with the Sept. 25 shooting.

Peters is charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime and aggravated and aggravated assault.

He is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
