Man arrested after Columbia apartment shooting

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) – A man was arrested after a shooting at an apartment complex in Columbia on Thursday.

Kenyon Peters, 22, was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon during a crime of violence and aggravated assault.

Officers responded to 508 Longtown Road around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, where they found two men lying on the ground.

According to the Richland County Sheriff's Department, Peters and another man got into an argument and shot each other.

Peters was arrested by the Richland County Fugitive Task Force in Elgin and taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
