Several gang members face murder conspiracy and other charges

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A multi-month investigation into the Baton Rouge-based 60 Gang has led to the arrests of four people, with charges pending against a fifth person, officials said.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, officers arrested four of the “60 Gang” members – Lance White, Khalil Henderson, Dedric White and Michael Veal – on numerous charges, including drug offenses, weapons offenses and/or violent felony murder.

Police said arrest warrants were obtained on Monday, September 9, for the four suspects, who were already in custody for previous arrests by the BRPD, as well as Lance White, also a member of the “60 Gang.”

Investigators worked with the United States Marshal Service to arrest the fifth suspect, White, on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at an apartment on Pampas Street, police added.

When White was taken into custody, law enforcement reported the execution of a search warrant, which they said resulted in the seizure of the following items:

  • $410
  • Approximately 313 grams of marijuana
  • 9.5 d/u Adderall
  • Glock 17 (S/N BVGK445)
  • Radical Firearms RF-15 (S/N T20240500906)

Arrests were made

  • Lance WhiteThe 26-year-old was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, conspiracy to intimidate a witness, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm with CDS, possession of Adderall and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Khalil HendersonThe 20-year-old was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and conspiracy to intimidate a witness.
  • Dedric White30, was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and conspiracy to intimidate a witness.
  • David Hastings, The 21-year-old was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and conspiracy to intimidate a witness.

Until the arrest

  • Michael KalbThe 19-year-old will be charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and conspiracy to intimidate a witness when he is returned to the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail.
