Former Burlington school board member faces drug trafficking charges again

The former Burlington school board member accused of drug trafficking appeared in a Massachusetts courtroom Thursday for a preliminary hearing. The hearing only lasted a few minutes. Rida Kori, 24, was arrested Sept. 16 on Interstate 91 in Holyoke. He previously pleaded not guilty to felony charges at his arraignment last month. According to court documents, the Drug Enforcement Administration had been investigating Kori for several months. A spokesperson for the Burlington School District told NBC5 that Kori has resigned from his board position. He posted bail following his arraignment and is scheduled to appear in court on November 29.
