Report says Garth Brooks is accused in a new lawsuit of raping his hairdresser and makeup artist

(Gray News) – Country music star Garth Books has been accused of sexual assault and battery in a lawsuit filed Thursday in California, according to a report from CNN.

According to the report, the lawsuit accuses Brooks of raping a woman who worked as his hairdresser and makeup artist in 2019.

The woman was identified only as “Jane Roe.”

She claims the rape occurred during a business trip where Brooks only booked a hotel room for the two of them and the woman was “shocked” to find out she didn't have her own room.

In addition to the alleged sexual assaults, the lawsuit “accuses Brooks of repeatedly exposing his genitals and buttocks; talking about sex and sharing sexual fantasies with Roe; he regularly changed his clothes before Roe; and sending sexually explicit text messages,” CNN reports.

Brooks has previously denied the claims, but as of Thursday afternoon he had yet to comment on the new lawsuit.

According to CNN, the woman had been doing hair and makeup for Brooks since 2017. She says she was first hired to do hair and makeup for his wife, Trisha Yearwood, in 1999.
