Eminem announces his new role as Grandpa in latest video: Watch

Eminem adds a new title to his achievements and this time it's a personal title.

The Detroit legend revealed that his daughter Hailie Jade was expecting her first child on Thursday (October 3) in the form of a new music video for his single “Temporary.”

The touching image consisted of several home videos of young Hailie and intimate father-daughter moments from her wedding. There is also a video clip of Hailie giving her father a blue soccer jersey with the words “Grandpa” on the back.

Hailie got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Evan McClintock back in February 2023. They dated for six years after meeting at Michigan State University in 2016.

When Slim Shady first released his new music, Hailie recalled having an emotional reaction to “Temporary” and “Somebody Save Me.” On the latter, Eminem apologized to the 28-year-old for choosing drugs over his children. “The 'Somebody Save Me' music video is out, I've watched it all the way through and I don't think I can do it again. I definitely cried,” she explained on her podcast.

Hailie added: “Between this and 'Temporary' […] I can't. I audibly sobbed, I think, on both songs, but especially on 'Temporary.'”

She confessed that her parents did a good job of hiding their personal problems from her during her childhood.

“As an adult, it’s so scary to think about in hindsight,” Hailie noted. “I think that's why I get so emotional. That's what I'm thinking right now [Eminem dying] could have happened and that's how I think about it […] It's fun to see clips like this of us from our youth. Even “mockingbird.” But I can't listen to this anymore without crying. The older I get, the less I can listen to the songs.”
