Gas leak blocks Carlson Boulevard for a mile

RICHMOND — A gas leak led to an hour-long road closure on a major boulevard Thursday, police said.

In a message sent at 11:39 a.m., police described the leak as “significant” and called it a major breach. According to police, the leak occurred in the 2700 block of Florida Avenue.
