Moo Deng was seen moonwalking in a viral video

She is the queen of hops.

Moo Deng, the fame-hungry, hungry hippo who put a regional zoo in Thailand on the world map, has stunned viewers again – with a remarkable rendition of the late Michael Jackson's iconic moonwalk.

A widely shared video from September 26 shows the short-lived sensation – who some have now labeled a problematic pygmy because of her less-than-friendly nature – delivering an uncannily precise performance to her adoring fans.

The beloved star character is seen taking several steps backwards in her enclosure before running forward.

It's one of several natural behaviors little Moo Deng has been using to attract attention lately – the other most notable being biting her trainer on the leg.

In response, many online called the little princess “kind of mean” and accused her of “always choosing violence.”

But the real concern, according to Chonburi Zoo officials, remains how Moo Deng is treated by the thousands who regularly visit her.

People have thrown objects at them and splashed them with water to wake the animal up.

“These behaviors are not only cruel but also dangerous,” said zoo director Narongwit Chodchoi.

“We need to protect these animals and ensure they have a safe and comfortable environment.”

In just a few months, Moo Deng has become the center of global attention — and she and her sudden fame were even the subject of a recent “Saturday Night Live” Weekend Update segment.

“I've been on the road nonstop for 10 weeks,” said performer Bowen Yang while wearing a Moo Deng costume, making a slight reference to another pop culture sensation, singer Chappell Roan.

“The response has been overwhelming, but it's gotten to the point where I have to set boundaries,” he joked.
