A bus carrying several wedding guests plunged into a ravine on a road in southeastern Pakistan on Thursday, killing at least seven people, rescuers and officials said.

The crash occurred near Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. Authorities did not immediately know what caused the crash, although an investigation was underway.

The Associated Press reported that Wasim Baig, a health ministry spokesman, said the bodies of the victims and 17 other injured people had been taken to an area hospital.
