Pat Sajak Takes Final Round on 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' (Exclusive)

Get out the tissues because a date has been set for the Pat Sajak finale Wheel of Fortune rotate, and Weekly entertainment has an exclusive first look.

Sajak has already been replaced by Ryan Seacrest as host of the original, long-running game show, but he's coming back for one final season of the spin-off program Celebrity Wheel of Fortune. He will return with his co-host of more than three decades, Vanna White, for the season premiere on October 14.

This season, celebrity guests will compete for a $1 million prize for a charity of their choice. These guests include Rainn Wilson, Ellie Kemper and Oscar Nuñez from The office; Josh Gad, Justin Long and Rachael Harris from New girl; Sam Richardson, Randall Park and Matt Walsh from Veep; Tiffany Haddish and Regina Hall of Girls trip; as well as Joe Manganiello, Katharine McPhee, Andrew Rannells, Cameron Brink and more to be announced.

The recent transition between Wheel of Fortune Epochs was full of poignant moments. First, Sajak announced his retirement in 2023 last June, sharing a heartfelt farewell message to his fans: “It has been an incredible privilege to be invited into millions of homes night after night, year after year, decade after decade.” Seacrest has the The passing of the baton was made easy by always showing Sajak grace and gratitude, praising his farewell message and recognizing him on his first day as the show's new host (“I have some big shoes to fill”).

Seacrest also shared the sweet welcome message Sajak and White left for him on his first day, and at the Creative Arts Emmys ceremony in September, Sajak won his fourth Emmy for hosting the series.

Wheel of Fortune has been on the air since 1975, going through three networks and five hosts (six if you count the April Fools' Day special, which featured Pat Sajak and Danger's Alex Trebek swapped hosting duties, five hostesses and spawned two spin-offs. bike 2000, a version of the game for children, lasted only two seasons in the late 90s, however Celebrity Wheel of Fortune has been going strong since 2021.
