Judge revokes bail for man charged with murder and attempted murder on Christmas Eve

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – A judge today revoked the bail of a Mobile man charged with murder.

Mobile County District Judge Jennifer Wright found that Haratio Stewart violated his bail conditions by going to places he was not authorized to go.

Stewart's lawyer argued that his client had permission from the company, which monitored his movements with an electronic ankle device.

Stewart is charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with a shooting at the Maison de Ville apartment complex on Christmas Eve last year. The shooting killed 20-year-old Jabyron Nettles and injured Nettles' girlfriend, Jelaysia Smith. Nettles was shot while sitting in his car outside the apartment complex. Smith was also shot seven times.

The case is awaiting a grand jury's decision on whether to file charges.
