ROYAL CARIBBEAN'S NEW STAR OF THE SEAS ENTERS THE CHAT – AND THE WATER – FOR THE FIRST TIME

MIAMI, October 3, 2024 – Royal Caribbean International hovered in the air and thousands of workers celebrated the new Star of the Seas comes one step closer to its highly anticipated debut. The next combination of the best of every vacation achieved an important construction milestone like it swam for the first timea moment that marks less than a year before Mic-Drop's launch in one of the world's most popular travel destinations, Port Canaveral (Orlando), FloridaIn August 2025. Next, the new vacation will enter the final construction phase.

To kick off the milestone, a ceremony – a maritime tradition with a cannon shot – took place at the Meyer shipyard in Turku Turku, Finlandto celebrate 19 months (and counting) of hard work behind by the thousands star's construction. Then the proverbial flood gates opened to fill the dry dock with water 92 million gallons of water – an overnight process that almost took time nine hours. star was then swum out of the dock and into the equipment pillar, where it continues to take shape inside and out.
